Currently the company and the joint venture partner have nearly 250 staff members, of which 65% are Angolan. A realistic Angolanisation timetable with clear goals is in place to ensure the transfer of engineering and management skills to staff, which together with an aggressive theoretical training programme for each employee, combined with assessments, will ensure success. Equipment and Controls has trained and involved Angolan engineers on major projects such as the Kizomba and Plutonio projects from 2001.
